The Agenzia Libera states that the Pope, replying to a letter from the Austrian Empress, declared that he could not approve Catholic soldiers assisting the Turks to retain the Holy Places. POSITION UNCHANGED. A TURKISH GARRISON CAPTURED (Received Dec. 3, 1.45 p.m.) LONDON. Dec. 4. Palestine official.—The situation is generally unchanged. East County troops raided and captured the whole garrison of a Turkish post southward of Nnhranja. Our aeroplanes successfully bombed Turkish communications in the vicinity of Tulkerao.
