The Daily Express states that Dr. Addison has accepted the position of Minister of Public Health at a salary of £SOOO. HIGH EXPLOSIVES DISCOVERED. BEING LANDED IN IRELAND. (Received Dec. 5, 8.30 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 4. The Irish police have discovered a plot to import high explosives from Glasgow. Two hoys landed at Donegal carrying a portmanteau with sufficient explosives to blow up most of the public buildings in Dublin. One carried despatches in his coat lining. An arrest has been made at Glasgow.
