AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP. BY ELECT BIG TELEGRAPH.—COrTEI'JHT. LONDON, Juno 20. Travers won the open golf championship of America. At a meeting of the New Zealand Golf Council hold at Wellington on June 15 it was unanimously decided that the forthcoming championship mooting to be held at Napier from September 6 to 11 should be abandoned owing to tho war conditions. This decision will meet with tho general approval of golfers.
