The new State suggested by the Grafton residents cabled on January S is 65,000 square miles, smaller than Victoria but larger than Tasmania. The population is bounded on the south by the Hastings and Liverpool ranges, on the oast by, the loOdeg. 6min. meridian of longitude. on the north by the 31 degrees parallel of latitude, and along this to the Darling; on the west by the Darling and Culgoa rivers to the Qiieenalanrt border, which is the northern boundary ; and on the east by the sea. The committee is actively working for the seperation.
