ENTERTAINMENTS.
EMPIRE PICTURES. The Empire management will introduce another complete change of programme this evening* headed by a big star attraction from the studio of the popular Kalem Company, entitled “Tho Fatal Legacy, 5 ’ an unusually absorbing drama, snowing the effect of heredity until the sixth generation. The supporting pictures include Edison’s fine dramatic offering, “Honour of the Force”; a powerful A.K. drama, “The Lass that Loved a Sailor”; and a Majestic photo-play, tr Playmates.” Pictures of educational interest are “Topical Budget,” “Celestial Repuband “School Physical Drill.” The comic section is led by two extremely hilarious comedies, “A Sleepy Romance” and “The Winning Punch.” Patrons are notified that this selection of films will be screened to-night and to-morrow night only. During the ©creeping of the pictures this evening Miss V. Gilbert will sing a special number from one of the recent productions of the New Plymouth Operatic Society, Supporters of Miss Gilbert for “Carnival Queen” can assist their favourite by attending at the Empire Theatre to-night.
