Tho jury returned a verdict that tho accident was caused hv the driver, Irwin, overrunning tlie home signal when at danger, and added a rider that loop lines should be lengthened to accommodate any train, or that a refuge siding should be made at either end. More precautions were necessary in foggy weather. Irwin, has boon committed for trial on a charge of manslaughter, and released on £2OO bail.
