At a meeting of tho National Rifle Association, it was stated that the council had received a. telegram from Australia which was inferpretod to ask that the Empire Match should again take place at Bisley, as Australia was sending a team. If so, tho council’s team would visit Australia in 1015, instead of 1914. The following are the list of handicaps for the New Plymouth Defence Rifle Club’s fifth competition, for the Saturday Cup, distances 900 and 1000 yards:—President F. J. Hill, Riflemen S. Higgs, AV. Bruce, F. Nichols, 0. Bond, W. Oliver, C. Arnold and F. Hartnell scr., Rfm. AA. Ivoating 2 points, Rfm. AA". Slaughter 5 points, Rfm. H. Arnoldt, G. Blanchard, and S. Jurv 7 points. Rfm. J. Blydo, H. Patterson, L. Blanchett, M‘AA 7 hirter, and Jones 9 points, Rfm. Lang 12 points.
