FROZEN MUTTON.
INQUIRY BY MR. T. MACKENZIE. BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH. —COPYRIGHT. LONDON, Sept. 13. Referring to tho discarding of frozen mutton for use in the Army, tho Hon. Thos. Mackenzie, High Commissioner for New Zealand, has asked tho War Office if they were satisfied that genuine New Zealand mutton, whore so specified, had been supplied, adding that if so, ho was surprised that the War Office should refuse it, considering that New Zealand mutton and lamb was coming increasingly into public favour. Ho also asks whether tho meat has been properly treated for cooking purposes
