A Russian labourer unexpectedly inherited £62,500 and immediately lived in tho most expensive manner in St. Petersburg. He kept a yacht and racehorses, and within a year not one penny was left. Ho gave a great revel and applied tho following day and obtained a job as crossing-sweeper at £3 a month.
