WRESTLING.

SHIMA v. HINE. An event in the sporting world of Now Plymouth of great interest' will take place in. tho Theatre Royal on Monday night, between Mr. R. Shima, jiu-jitsu champion of Australasia, and Ern Hine, middle-heavyweight of Taranaki. As will ho seen by a glance at our advertising columns, a good programme of wrestling bouts has been arranged, and a good evening’s sport is thereby assured. Mr. 1 Shima has due record behind him, and is an old hand at the game, whereas iliac Ims only* a local reputation to uphold. Tho latter is a garde performer, however, and a man by no means to bo lightly set aside, and his trainer, Mr. A. J. Langham, is confident of bringing his man up to tho mat on Monday in first-class shape. The catch-as-catch-can style of wrestling will be followed, 1 best of three falls, and all jiu-jitsu holds barred. Officers appointed are; Timekeeper, Mr. J. Bennett: seconds, Messrs. G. Willetts and H. Plumb. Mr. P. Skoglund (Stratford) has been asked to referee.
