A PUBLIC CONVENIENCE.
(To tho Editor.) Sir—l was very much interested in reading in jyour paper last, night the account of the discussion with reference to the proposal to erect a public convenience iu/ New Plymouth. No doubt it is hard Oor a conscientious councillor to give his vote for any place to be erected which he thinks is not ncces“*7- Bwk- Sir . r ffi el sure that if any or all of she councillors were to pay a V’.hi to my residence any evening after the hotels l and theatres are closed (especially Saturday evening) they would be welcomed, and go away with tho matter settled in their own mind that the erection of such a place would not only be a public convenience, but also a great ‘ help in tho way of public health, and no doubt would settle tho question ;as to where it is mostly needed, and ,would also put a stop to the nuisance now being committed in private right-of-ways m tho business portion of fiho borough. —I am, etc AN INCONVENIENCED EYEWITNESS.
