A LOST PROPELLER.

AORERE IN DIFFICULTIES. PEE PEESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, July 14. The small coastal steamer Aorere, which loft Wellington last Thursday night for Patea, lost her propeller at 8 o’clock on Friday morning. The vessel was then 26 miles from Patea. She was put under canvas, and after dodging about Cook Strait till this evening, managed to beat up to 'Wellington Heads. There she was picked up by tho Tutanekai, returning from cable repairs. She was towed to an anchorage inside tho harbour, a tug subsequently bringing her to the wharf. Captain Fisk reports that on Sunday morning from 9 to 11, the Aorere was about seven miles off Stephen Island light, the station being plainly visible, but he could not attract the attention of the lighthouse keepers. The vessel is not leaking.
