(From Oar Own Correspondent,} June 27.—A most enjoyable concert took place ter© on Th oisday , evening in aid of hall funds. Financially Hie result should- be good- the house being packed to the doors. Mr. F. W. Atkinson occupied the chair, and announced the various items, which were as follow: Overture, Mrs. Marlow (E.R.AJVtj march from Tannhauser; song, Mr., ' Day, “Queen of the Earth” ; recitation, Mias Ellis (humorous); song, Miss Marlow (A.R.C.M.), “She Wandered-on. the Mountain Side” ; recitation, Mr. Giilick; cornet solo, Mr. H. Bezzant, “Killarney,”; song, Mr. Smith, “Blow Blow”; -duet (vocal), Miss Marlow and Mrs. Roberts; song, Mr. Day, “The Rh<©r of Years”; song, Mrs. Roberts, “Golden Slumbers”; piano solo, Miss Marlow (Hungarian dance); song, Mrs. Roberts, “Mand of Dreams”; cornet solo, Mr. Bezzant, “Alas, Those Chimes” (“Maritans.”)-; song, Mr. Ellis, “In Happy Moments”; song, Misa Marlow, “April Morn”; song, Mr. Smith, “Master and Man” ; song, Mrs.' Roberts, “Tit for Tat.” The house was an exceedingly happy one, encores being general and insistent throughout the evening. The acoompnaimente during the evening were beautifully played by Mrs. Marlow, L.R.A.M., of Waitara. At the suggestion of the chairman three rousing cheers were given for the Waitara performers at the conclusion of the concert.
