STATEMENT BY THE PREMIER. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. LONDON, April 29. One hundred and eighty-three modern bombs were seized at the Federation’s headquarters. The Premier, in the Chamber, described the organisers of the movement as hypocrites and anti-Republicans, too cowardly to make a stand. THE CONSPIRATORS’ PLANS. • (Received April 3'i 11.15 a.m.) ‘ LISBON, April 29. Newspapers assert that 'conspirators formed a Ministry under M. Wenceslau de Lima, former President of the Council under King Manuel, who is at present at Zurich. A mysterious occurrence happened aboard the cruiser Sao Gabriel. Several shots were fired seawards. The crew were paraded but the culprits were not discovered.
