, A SEAMAN DROWNED. Per Press Association. NELSON, Dec. 23. At the adjourned inquest touching the death of Kaspar Anderson, a searoan on the scow Southern Isles, who was found drowned in the harbour on December 9, the Coroner returned a verdict that deceased was found drowned, there being no evidence to show how he got into the water.

PEA RIFLE ACCIDENT.

NAPIER, Dec. 2S. A lad named Harry Munrow, aged 14, met with a. serious accident, yesterday. ' He was engaged in cleaning a pea-rifle, not knowing it was loaded, and a cartridge exploded, the bullet, entering his. stomachy He was removed to a private hospital, but although the bullet has not yet been located be is not considered to be in. immediate danger. •_ ..
