LIBEL ACTION.
BY MR. FRED. PIRANI. Per Press Association. PALMERSTON N., April 19. _ Mr. Fred. Pirani has instructed his solicitor to demand a full apology and the name of the writer of the article published in this morning’s Chronicle, headed “Wanganui Education Board and Its Administration,” in which strong accusations were made against him. In the event of the request not being complied with, a writ for £IOOO damages will be issued against the Chronicle.
[Mr. Pirani is himself defending a libel action against Mr. Stagpoole, the late master of Linton School, for alleged libellous statements made in Mr. Pirani’s paper, the Feilding Star.]
