LAND FOR IMMIGRANTS. .

The Union Assembly adopted a clause in the Settlement Rill empowering the Government to make allotments of Crown lands to overseas applicants. Sir Thomas Smartt urged securing a share of the emigation now being attracted by Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
