The North German Gazette refers to the story that the Kaiser wished ho had a people as intelligent as the Italians as a malicious invention. [A cablegram on Monday said; Some surprise has been created by some remarks conveying a flattering appreciation of Italians, which the Kaiser is reported to have made, during his yachting, cruise to Signor Cermeni Italian deputy, at Venice. The Kaiser said: “If I had people so intelligent as the Italians I would conquer naif Europe.] «
