Members of the New Plymouth Bowling Club are requested to meet at the pavilion on Thursday evening, at eight o’clock, for the purpose of holding a social gathering as a farewell to Mr. Harry Goldwutev, one of the Club’s most active members, who is leaving in a few days for Australia. Fitzroy will be represented by the following players in a five-rink match against VVaitara, at Waitara, on Thursday. The New Plymouth team will leave, by the 7.40 a.m. train. The Auckland Provincial Tournament was completed on Thursday, April 11, when Martin and Fookes (Carlton) won the subscription pairs match, defeating Rummer and Wilson (Ponsonby) m the final by 25 to 18. , The following rinks will represent the Waitara Bowling Club in a maten with Fitzroy on the Waitara green on Thursday.
