A CANADIAN LADY ROBBED,

A Canadian lady travelling in Mexico was robbed by bandits, who stopped a train and beat her on the soles of her feet in order to make her disclose the whereabouts of the jewels which she was supposed to be carrying. The British Minister has been informed of the outrage. Tho bandits killed the train conductor. The situation .in Mexico City is serious. The American Colony has been armed with rifles.
