August 22—The Kennels, Bell Block. August 29—To be arranged. September 6—Annual Race Meeting. The above hunt will open the hunting season at Mr. W. Birdling's fine property, Waitara, on Thursday, throwing off at 1 p.m. sharp. Mr. Birdiing’s property is an ideal spot for hunting, as besides being good open country, with plenty of well sparred fences of the sort that huntsmen appreciate, tho formation of the land is such that tho spectators can get .a splendid view of all that is going on. ' There is a great deal of interest being taken in the hunt this year, so that if the fine weather continues tho opening meet should be a record on« for attendance.
