The New Plymouth Golf Club opened its season on the Nga Motu links on Saturday afternoon with a mixed foursomes Handicap, 24 couples competing. The, afternoon was perfect and the greens in capital order. Tho winners proved to be Miss Glasgow and E. J. Reid, who returned the fine score of 91 —9J —811. Their first round was done in 43 gross and their gross score of 91 was less than any not score. They could thus have won without a handicap. The best six cards wore: — Miss Glasgow and E. J.
