LETTER FROM CAPTAIN SCOTT. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. (Received April 13, 10.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, Ajiril 13. Captain Scott, in a letter to the Attorney-General, dated October 31, shows that ho was hopeful of reaching the Polo. He says: “Ij;' the end wo shall have a mass of material which will repay all tho outlay on tho expedition, judged by scientific standards, but we can scarcely be contented with that. Wo hope to have cause to rejoice at something which appears more largely a matter of sentiment with our race.”
