WAREA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) April 10.—A friendly cricket match was played here last week between Okato and Warea Clubs. Okato were unfortunate in not having several of their usual players,, but, like good sports, came and made the best of it. Afternoon tea was laid out in the hall by the'ladies, and although Okato were beaten at cricket, they all seemed to enjoy the day's outing. Following are the scores—Okato; L. Carey 4, P. Corbett 1. R. Andrews 1, A. Emery 0, J. Carey 2, E. Andrews 3, H. Richardson 0, J.” Jones 0, J. Brophy 0, D. Andrews O, extras; total 15. Bowling analysis not taken, but F. Jones did the hat trick with the last three wickets. Warea: B. Anderson 13, F. Jones (I, H. Pelham. 6, T. E'. Larking o,' R. Cassie 4, R. Warbnrton 6, C. W. Corbett 19, P. Putt 5, IV. Wilson 2, W, Foster 1, Jenkinson 0, extras 11; total 67. As some players could not stop for a second innings, sides were picked by P. Corbett and E. Warbnrton, the former making 65 and the latter 38. The weather has been very unsettled lately, Easter Monday being a wretched day, keeping a good many from attending picnics, etc., that had been planned.
