(Received April 11, 9.35 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 11. Captain Amundsen proceeds to New Zealand next week, on route for Buenos Ayres, to pick up the Fram. SALES OF DRAUGHT HORSES. (Received April 11, 9.35 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 11. At the show sales E. Short, of Feilding, New Zealand, purchased the draught mare Primrose for 205 guineas. Four draught marcs, sold on account of Boult and Sons, Feilding, ranged from 42 to Signs. MINERS’ SECOND THOUGHTS. (Received April 11. 10.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 11. A considerable section of coal miners aro changing front with regard to the abolition of the afternoon shift, fearing it will result in throwing many out of employment. A TROPICAL RAINFALL. (Received April 11. 10.15 a.m.) BRISBANE, April 11. Phenomenal rains have fallen in tho Northern districts. Forty-two inches fell at Innisi'ail in two-days.
