After driving 2000 ft., the St. George Gold Mining Company, which is working near the New Rig River, struck a 3ft. gold-boaring reef showing gold assays of ore from 2oz. Tdwts. and an average of loz. 4<lwts. The property is chiefly hold by local people. Dredging: The Pactolus produced 37 oz. Tdwts. in IXS hours.
