ABRAHAM AND WILLIAMS, (Special to Herald.) PALMERSTON N., Dec. 13, Abraham and' Williams, Ltd., report: At our Palmerston North sale held on Wednesday, the 13th inst., we yarded 700 sheet) and 1000 head ot cattle. All classes <>i stock met with a koon demand, and we have to report a total clearance under the hammer, wrtli the exception of one small pen of cattle. Tho 700 head of cattle yarded op account of Air. J. Barker, of Porangahau, were a particularly good lot and sold at prices in excess of valuations. We quote:— Sheep: Empty ewes, woolly 10s 3d, 13s Id, to 13s ekl; shorn 2-tooth wotbers, 10s lid to 12s 3d; shorn 2tooth ewes, to 12s Id ; shorn owes and lambs, 16s lid to 28s, the Inst price being obtained for a lino of P.B. Romney owes and lambs: woolly hoggets, 14s. Cattle: On account of J. Barker, Esq., 14S yearly Polled Angus heifers, £3 7s 6d; 13.1 Polled Angus steers, £4 0s; 40 -Shorthorn yearling steers, £3O 19s; 74 2i-yoar Polled Angus steers, £5: 26 2-year Shorthorn steers, £4 6s; 90 forward Polled Angus heifers, £4 3« to £4 (fe; 30 fat and forward Polled Angus heifers, £4 11s Gd.; 15 Hereford hoifors, £4 JO, (xl; 36 yearling 'diurtborn heifers, £2 life; 27 2-year Shorthorn'heifers, £3 12s Gd ; on account of P. A. MMlardy, 50 forward bullocks, £7 13s.
