In tho Federal House of Representatives during tlio Budget debate Sir John Forrest charged the Government witli not adhering to its promise of tariff reform, Mr. Hughes expressed a view in favour of tho fixing of tho prices of goods by the Government. It was only his personal opinion and ho was not speaking for tho Government. MR. WADE SUPPRESSED. (Received Nor. 15, 10.10 a.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 15. Mr. Wade was absent when a motion to rescind the motion suspending Mr. Wood was called, lie endeavoured to discuss it later, and was ruled out of order. Mr. Griffiths appealed to the Speaker to allow Mr. Wade a hearing, but Mr. Willis declined to do so. EARLY CLOSING OF HOTELS. MELBOURNE, Nov. 14. In tho Assembly, Mr. Bnmtueil obtained leave to introduce a Bill to provide for tho earlier closing of hotels.
