The comet, recently observed by the Lick Observatory, which is visible here, i.-, approximately 30,000,000 miles distant, is travelling rapidly towards tho south-west. NEW TRAWLING GROUNDS. (Received August 28, 8.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, August 28. Fish trawling grounds have been discovered within SO miles of Sydney. ATTEMPTED TRAIN WRECKING. (Received August 23, 10.10 a<m.) BRISBANE, August 28. A serious attempt was made to wreck a train at Milton. Large boulders were placed on the line, hut they were discovered before tho train approached.
