Some remarkable disclosures with regard to the methods of private detectives were made in the Magistrate’s Court this afternoon in a case brought before Mr. Kettle, S.M. Henry Kehoe, who was'charged with disobedience of an order for the maintenance of his wife, was represented by Mr. M‘Arthur. Mr. Lundon appeared for complainant, Alice Kehoe. -The evidence of defendant’s neglect .to provide maintenance was first called, and then evidence was called for the defence. . Donald M’Nah said he received the sum of £lO from Kehoe to. inquire into his wife’s habit of living. He said bo was a private detective, with racecourse experience. He admitted going to the woman’s house and asking for. board, and he admitted committing adultery with her. The Magistrate: So that is what you, a respectable private detective, did? Witness; Yes. Mr. Lundon: You are a married man? Witness: Yes. Mr. Lundon: Haveyou any children?
