Prices were a shade easier, though good ducklings are still in demand and realised good prices. Hens is 7d to Is Hd, good young and laying 2s to 2s 4d; cockerels, young, Is to Is 4d, fair quality la 9d to 2s 4d, chicks 5d to 7d, ducklings, three days old Bjd to lOd, three, weeks do. Is lid to 2s 4d; ducks 2s 2d to 2s sd, Guinea fowls 2s 6d each. Sundries sold at usual rates. Fruit.—During the week fruit has come forward in large quantities. Californian Red Remain apples 15s, five case lots 14s 6d; oranges, original Us 6cl, five case lots 14s 6d, repacks 16s; Tongan bananas, ripe 3d, Rarotongan green 16s to 16s 6d; rhubarb 3s 6d to 4s dozen bunches, lemons 7s, cabbages 3s 9d, looks 4s 6d, turnips 4s 9d per sack, lettuces 2s per case. Stock.—-At our sale at Oakura on Friday we had a very fair entry, young cattle being in numbers. Bidding was brisk and prices still firm.
