BELL BLOCK.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) Oct. 26. The curtain fell on the dancing season for 1910 last nignt, whon tho annual hall was held. The function was a fitting finale to a senes of popular monthly socials run by tho Hall Association. The committee were unfortunate as regards the weather, for it rained steadily the night through, and many must have, received a good wetting ere they reached their respective homes. The crowd was a large one, fully 150 responding to the invitations issued. Had it been fine a record attendance at our ‘‘annual” would have been put up. As it was the hall was uncomfortably packed, making dancing at times quite out of the question. The building was tastefully decorated with ferns and Bowers, and the floor was excellent. The supper arrangements were in the bauds of the following ladies, who evidently knew their work:—Mesdames Sahvay, J. Connett. F. Andrews, W. Street, Hoby and Holmes. Mrs. George’s Orchestra supplied the music, and it was of tho best. Extras wore played by Miss Smith (New T’lvmonth), Miss Badley (Waitam), and Miss B. Bundle (Bell Block). The takings amounted to about £l4 10s. Messrs. W. Hosidn and Lon. Rundlo were tho M.C.’s.
