PRIMITIVE METHODISTS.

TARANAKI DISTRICT SYNOD. The annual synod was hold at Fitzroy on Tuesday, Mr. R. Peppered (chairman) presiding. Delegates were present from Stratford, Wanganui, El(hara, Inglewood, and Now Plymouth. The following olfleers were elected:— Chairman, Mr. R. Pcpperell; vicechairman, Mr. G. Collingwood; secretary, Rev. T. R. B. Woolloxall; assistant secretary, Rev. H, Sharp. The retiring chairman in his a.ddross jeferred to matters connected with the work of the year. , Routine and statistical affairs were considered and dealt with. It was reported that the Rev. A. Davis had resigned during the .year. The afternoon session was devoted to t,he discussion of matters appertaining to the several circuits, and recommendations were made to conference. In the evening a meeting was hold in the Fitzroy Church, when, despite the very wet weather, there was a good attendance. The chairman of the district (Mr. R. Peppefell) presided. The speakers were Rev. S. Rally, of Wanganui, Mr. G. Collingwood, of Stratford, and Mr. Maiden, of Wanganui. Musical items were given by Miss Bray, Miss Foote, Miss Charteris, Miss Linn, and Rev. H. Sharp and Mr. M. Scott. A pleasant and profitable evening was spent by those present.
