(To the Editor.) Sir,—Pleased to read your leader of yesterday on above subject, and I trust it may have the effect of awakening the authorities to a sense of their responsibilities, especially seeing wc have several breeding grounds in centre of town. Health department costs us something like £20,000 a year, and what do we get in return? Judging by past experience, not much, excepting a breeding ground fof “fat sinecures.” — I am, etc., SANATORY.
