MELBOURNE, Oct. 24. Lord Dudley at the rifle dinner said he considered that sixteen days a year was insufficient for training a soldier. Ho believed that England would have to follow Australia’s example and introduce compulsory service, as the territorial scheme was unsuccessful. Queensland won the Commonwealth teams’ match. New South Wales won the Prince .of Wales' prize for teams of the Australian Light Horse.
