PROPOSED ENGLISH TEAM’S TOUR. The Taranaki Association has been advised by‘ the New. Zealand Association, in reply to the former’s letter conveying its resolutions concerning the proposed tour of an English representative team through the dominion in 1911, that provided £75 was guaranteed a match would be arranged against Taranaki at New Plymouth or at any other centre the Taranaki Association might .indicate. Respecting the “guarantee”, the letter adds:—-“I am directed to point out to you that if you accept this offer you must also accept the conditions that the money must be deposited with us as per terms of my first letter. My executive will have to give to the English authorities a hank guarantee, and this they are not prepared to do unless tho money from the various associations is deposited in Christchurch at the date which my previous circular indicates (September 30, 1910). I am desired by my association to inform you that it is their intention to place the money in the Post Office Savings Bank and to credit each association with the interest which accrues in proportion to the amount deposited by such association.”.
