The following remits are to bo forwarded by the Southland centre Ho the N.Z.A.U. conference; —That centres pay the expenses of selected competitors to championship meetings; that the distance of championship quoiting be a uniform 21 yards; that the rules of catch-as-catch-can wrestling bo amended; that at least, a quorum of thp executive reside in the centre whore the secretary lives. Woods, the president of the Union,' ifttimated to the mooting that he would not seek re-election to the office, and announced that future aspirants to the presidency would probably be Messrs. Thos. Duncan (Wellington), Jas. Clarke (Now Plymouth), John Kennedy (Geraldine) and C. E. Keast (Dunedin). AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIPS. WELLINGTON, Feb. 18. L. M. M'Kay, pole vault champion, is unable to get leave to attend the championship meeting at _ Auckland. Hubbard 1 is likely to take his place.
