’ PALMERSTON SESSIONS. Per Press Association PALMERSTON N., Feb. 14. In the Supremo Court to-day Claude Rotter was found not guilty of assault and robbery. He ploadcjl guilty to perjury, and will be sentenced to-mor-row. Charles Cannon and Walter Riley wore found guilty of receiving stolen property, and the latter of theft also. Sentence will ho passed to-morrow. DUNEDIN SESSIONS. DUNEDIN, Feb. 14. At the Supreme Court to-day, Francis Paton Philp was convicted on a charge of stealing a mare, the property of Christopher Dagg, of Queenstown, and a saddle and bridle, tho. property of Albert Sellars. Sentence was deferredv Oswald Sydney Graham, aged 16 years, pleaded guilty to a charge of breaking and entering a dwelling at North-East Valley, and stealing a silver watch and 5s in money. Ho was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called on, the understanding boing that he be placed under the control of Mr. Curamingi agent -for Patients’ and Prisoners’ Aid Society. Alexander M’Lonnah pleaded not guilty to a charge of being a rogue and a vagabond, in that ho had insufficient lawful means of support. After four hours’ retirement, tho jury failed to agree, and accused was remanded till to-morrow. George Thomas Buckley was convicted on a charge of carnally knowing a girl between the ago of 12 and 'l6, but tho jury added a strong recothmendation to morey. Sentence was deferred.
