VISIT OF H.M.S. PEGASUS.

In reply to a letter from His AA r oiV ship the Mayor, the Commander of the Pegasus writes that, the war ship will arrive about noon on Aloriday next, 14th. The Alayor and . Town Clerk will pay their official, visit at 1.30 p.m., and tho Commander will then pay his official, visit . to, the Alaj’or, who has invited the Borough' Councillors, members of the Seaside Committee, the officials of the; Navy, League, beads of the, different local authorities in Now Plymouth, and their wives to afternoon tea on Afonday afternoon, to' meet the Commander and officers of the war ship. V i Subsequently his AA T orsbip' proposes taking the Commander and officers for a drive. They will visit Pukekiira Park and other.- places of interest around the town, and also the oil worps at Moturoa. In the evening the Navy ; League will entertain the Comni-inder, and the local -volunteers will entertain' the members of tho crow. ; His AVorship has been in communication with AIL. Armstrong, district iiiahager .cf -railways, asking that tho ;OXr cursion fares granted in connection with the, Eltham picnic be extended to 'apply, from I-Tawera northwards. Air.
