PALMERSTON SESSIONS. Per Press Association. PALMERSTON N., Feb. 11. The Palmerston North sittings of the Supreme Court commenced to-day before Judge Chapman. True bills were found in the following eusos;—Rex v. Thos. Powell and V. E. J. Lewcr, both for alleged supplying of illegal instruments ; v. Frederick Gillott, alleged indecent assault; v. Claude Retter, alleged perjury; v. W. Riley and C. Cannon alleged breaking and entering; v. Roland Hayes and William Smith, alleged perjury; - v. A, Muir, alleged theft; v. C. Retter, alleged assault and robbery; v. A. (Jannolly, alleged indecent assault; v. Boranoff, alleged, attempted carnal knowledge; v. W. B. V. Pearce, alleged theft. Edward John Lewer, charged with supplying illegal instruments, was found not guilty. THB AUCKLAND SESSIONS. AUCKLAND. Fob. 12. At the Supreme Court Henry Hammond was charged with opening n postal packet at Tauranga, and with the theft of £8 19s. Defendant was found guilty on the first charge. Ho had been three months in custody, and was sentenced to seven days’ imprisonment with hard labour. Horace 'Wilson was found guilty of indecent assault on two girls at Port Albert and was remanded till Thursday. •
