Jack only made one and then tipped a ball from P. Skelton to Eggleston.—Eight for 93. Cook and Nicoll raised the total to 103 when Wanderers declared their iilnings closed. Wilson and W. Wilson, the former doing most of the scoring, carried the score to 19, when W . \Vilson was caught at fine slip by Nicoll off Whittle’s bowling. Two runs later C. With 72 on the board Steeds took the ball from Whittle, and then Nicoll went on at Cook’s end. Steeds lost a good chance to run out 1L Skelton, through over-eagerness. Eggleston and Skelton were both bnttting nicely. At 82 Steeds made way for Hill. Jack lost a chance to catch Skelton off Nicoll’s bowling, through unreadiness. Two or throe minutes .before time, when it appeared certain that Eggleston and Skelton would plav out time, Eggleston just tipped with the edge of his bat a bull from Hill, and Greatbatch snapped it.—Sight for 85. Spence was the tenth man in. Hill’s next ball, dead on the leg stump, touched Spencer’s pads and knocked down his log stump.—Nino for 85.
