Tho Taranaki Rifles held their Usual inspection parade on Monday. There was a good muster. Tho work of tho evening was practical examination for non-coms., and semaphore signalling. Xwo now members were elected. A triangular rifle match between a team from H.M.S. Pegasus and teams from tho Rifles aud Guards respectively will be fired on Monday. A smoko concert will bo held at tho Drill Hall in the evening. Tho function will ho open to the public, admission being by ticket to bo procured from Corporal Southern (Ritlos) ; or Sorgt. . Evans (Guards). ; , . ■ Tho Range is being put in order for tho Rifle Association’s meeting. It is expected that there will be a large number of entries. Tho custodian will bo on the range daily for marking any one desiring to practice.
