THE- AUSTRALIAN TEAM. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Feb. 9. The Australian: cricketers were welcomed by the Mayor at the Town Hall this afternoon; No grounds being available they were unable to get any practice to-day. The team ,is accompanied by Major Wayne and Mr. R. T, Kelly. The match against Wellington yvill bo commenced on Friday at 2 p.m. Laws takes the place of Hawthorn, who has dropped out of the Wellington team. , , Manawatu will bat thirteen and field eleven against the Australians. RELF TO QUALIFY. AUCKLAND, Feb. ID. Rolf will remain in Auckland till March 6 in order to qualify for the Plunket shield match. Therefore he will play to-morrow.
