The annual meeting of householders in connection with tho election of a school committee for a fresh term took place on Monday evening. The public do not seem to evince any particular interest in these proceedings, judging by the attendance, it Being well recognised that a committee has after all, veiy little weight in educational matters, beyond making suggestions to those "grave, reverend- and potent, aignors," the Education, Board. Some sixteen householder's were present at the meeting, and the report of last year'a-work was read and adopted. The following gentlemen were nominated as members of the committee: — Messrs. J. Elliot, Gaustad, Lucas, G. Pearco, Sayers, Sprossen, W. Telfar, H. Tate and the Rev. P. T. Read. Mr G. Pearco was eleoted chairman.
