ADDINGTON SALES.
Sheep.— -Young and sound-mouth ewes again sold well. Aged and inferior sorts were neglected or only saleable at very low prices. Four and otooth ewes sold up to 16s 6d, poorer lines of sound-mouth ewes 10s 6d to 13s 6d, fairly forward wethers 10s 6d to 11s 6d.. Wethers sold at a further advance upon last week's rates of from 6d to Is per head. Ewes showed little or no improvement. Prime wethers made 15s to 16s ,9d, extra to 17s lOd, others 12s 2d, to 14s 6d, prime ewes 11s 6d to 13s 7d, extra to 16s, others 7s 8d to 10s 6d> Cattle Prime beef sold at about last week's rates. Steers made £7 2s6dto £10 15s, heifers £4 5s to £8 17s 6d, cows £3 15s to £6 15s— equal to 22s for prime, 18s 6d to 20s for medium, and 15s to 18s for cow and inferior per 100 lb. Fifteen and eighteen months made 40s to 455, 2-year steers £2 10s to £3, 2-year heifers £2 ss, S^yeax steers £6 to £6 ss, dry cows. 15s to £3 10s. Dairy cows <were in good demand at £3 to £10 15s. Pigs of all classes were entered in fair numbers. Choppers sold up _to £3 10s, large "baconers 52s 6d to 57s 6d, lighter 42s 6d to 50s (equal to 4d, s to 4^d per lb),* porkers 33s to 40s (equal to 5d per lb) large stores 30s to 375, mediitm 23s to 28s, and weavers 10s 6d to 18s 6d.
