THE KILTIES.
■. A celebrated American writer and poet said "I have to thank^ the Kilties' music, for' lity present position in tho literary world. Up to the time I fir^t heard the* Kilties, music never attract.cd me. I was an armless wanderer about the earth ambitidnless, from the first few minutes I heard this celebrated band play a great change came over me, my:body was. thrilled, sensations foreign to me penetrated my blood and discovered emotions I had never before realised. ... I commenced writing verse and short stories, prompted by the spirit of imagery conjured up by the Kilties glorious music. The Kilties have been .touring for tho past eight" years and have visited four\continents. Since the opening season in New Zealand they have had most enthusiastic receptions in every town yet visited and so pronounced have been their successes that they have* now booked nineteen, weeks in the Dominion. They will appear in New Plymoutji on (Saturday, February 20,.when two performances will be given. In the afternoon they will appear at the Xheatre Royal irfa full programme matinee, and a-grand concert will be given, in the .evening. Popular prices are being charged for the return visit.'
