A THRILLING MODERN DRAMA.
Th#-New Plymouth visit of Mr. J. C, -Williamson's Star Dramatic Company will take place at the Theatre Royal, on Monday night next when Henri Bernstjein'^favourite play, "The Thief, 5' an intensely dramatic piece, will'be stageel for the first and only time in this city.' The new play has been described as a drama that is a flawless piece of stagecraft. The play deals Avith complex phases of the lifo of present day society and its environment and -spirit are said to be essentially modern. The production of this play will provide opportunity of presenting new artists, and to renew acquaintanceship with stars of the dramatic firmament. There is one of the most popular f>ct»rs of the day, MiGeorge .&' Titheradge, who on his homo coming to Australia after ten years in the Old Country, was received with shouts of welcome. His son, Mr Dion Titheradge plays the -part of Henry Legardes (Raymond's son). That great favourite, Miss Ola Humphrey, will bo seen in the role of Marise Voysin, and Mr Henry Kolker (the_new arrival of very liigh reputation) has *the part of Richard Voyshi. The box plan will bo opened at the Collier- and Colonial Piano Company's' rooms to-morrow at 9 o'clock.
