THE DISASTER AT MALTA.
BURNING OF THE SARDINIA. By Electric Telegraph. — Copyright. LONDON, Nov. 27. The steamer Sardinia, which was burned off the island of Malta, was laden with machinery, Manchester fine goods and a general cargo. The cause of the outbreak is a mystery. The Duke of Connaught defrayed the pilgrims' burial expenses. A Sheikh survivor warmly thanked the Duke and expressed the Moslems' gratitude.
