WELLINGTON, Sept. 10. Mr. A. E. L. BertliiijOb>merly head keeper of the Zoological <Society y s gardens. Regent Park, London, and lately chief ranger and gamekeeper for the Tourist "Department at Rdtbrua, has ben appointed superintendent of the Newtown zoo, Wellingtonj at a salary of £200. '. Mr. Bertling brought out to New Zealand; at ,the request of the High CommiJßsiorier, the herd of ohamms presented to the Dominion by the Emperor of Austria.
