LAND BOARD SQUABBLE.
NAPIER, Sept. 11. The ' opinion of the Solicitor-General on the ruling of the Commissioner of CroWn Lands at last meeting of the Lanu JBoard which led to the removal oi Mr Lane came before the Board to-day. The opinion upheld the Commissioner' & ruling but declared , the incident to be 1 now closed. Mr Lane strongly protected against what he termed ministerial interference and withdrew } from the meeting to emphasise the protest:
